Beshert Two Mezuzah set (It was meant to be)

Two Mezuzot are included in this gift set for an engagement, wedding, or anniversary to a Jewish couple. Place one of these Mezuzot on your front door and one on your bedroom door to bless your home and your love. Gary Rosenthal creates these Mezuzot

Beshert is the Yiddish word that expresses how soul mates are meant to be together. One has Beshert written in Hebrew with purple glass curves on the right. The other has it written in English with curves on the left side to look like it fits to make a whole with the written in Hebrew. Included is an old story about King Solomon’s beautiful daughter who he sent to a high tower in the sea.

The King had read in the stars that his daughter would marry a poor man. Not wanting this, the King hid her. While the daughter was locked away, a poor man without shelter, shoes, or food was wandering and came upon a dead ox. That night he took shelter under the ox. As he slept, a great bird carried the ox and the man to the princess’s tower. At dawn, the princess saw the young man and had her servants bathe, clothe, and feed him. She found that the man was kind, handsome, and learned. The young man discovered that the princess was generous, beautiful, and clever. Soon, the two fell in love and married. Seeing that the marriage was meant to be, King Solomon blessed his daughter and her husband. Beshert expresses this blessing of true love.

Just as Beshert refers to people meant to be together, the glass on this mezuzah fits together to remind you of this holy bond because, “husband and wife are connected via their soul, as branches to trees.” Place this mezuzah on your doorpost to bless your home and your love. The home is meant to be a mikdash me’at or “little sanctuary” to bring us sanctity and holiness. By hanging a mezuzah on your doorpost, you bring this sanctity and holiness into your home, your relationship, and your lives. So, may true love always fly into your home as it flew into the princess’s tower because it said that, “When a man marries a wife who is right for him, [the prophet] Elijah kisses them and the Holy One loves them.”

The mezuzah measures approximately 5” tall by 1 ¼” wide by ¾”” deep. The fused glass measures approximately 3” tall x 1” wide.
